Laser therapy uses light to favor and accelerate the body's natural healing processes. The laser beam is moved over the skin so that the light energy (photons) penetrates the tissue where it interacts with various molecules that cause different biological effects. It produces a photochemical, photothermal and photomechanical effect.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week during normal office hours who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such a rodent bait poisoning, being hit by a car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
For weekends and after hours, we rotate with several other local clinics to handle emergencies. You may have to be seen at one of the other clinics depending on which doctor is on call. If your pet has an after hours emergency, call us at 251-621-8900. You will talk first with the answering service who will page the veterinarian on call. If you do not receive a call back within 20 minutes, please call again.
