Walk-in (non-emergency) appointments are accepted, but scheduled appointments are always seen first. Emergencies are accepted anytime during normal business hours. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
Laboratory Services
Blood Chemistry Panels help our veterinarians determine how your pets organs are functioning. This can help us accurately diagnose and treat illnesses, as well as monitor your pets organ functions, while taking certain medications.
Urine Analysis is a lab test of your pets urine. It can help detect the presence of substances that do not normally appear in the urine. This can include blood, protein, sugar, white blood cells, and more. Urinalysis can be helpful in diagnosing urinary tract infections, diabetes, dehydration, kidney issues, and bladder stones.
Blood Parasites (heartworms) are tested annually during your Canine Wellness Visit.
Intestinal Parasite screenings are performed annually during your Canine Wellness Visit. It is an examination of your pets feces under a microscope, allowing us to check for any intestinal parasites that may be present. These parasites include, but are not limited to: roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, and Coccidia.
The photo below was taken through our microscope in the lab. This pet was positive for Coccidia which is an intestinal tract infection caused by one-celled organisms (protozoa).
Diagnostic Imaging
We use advanced technology in our x-rays and ultrasound imaging.
Radiology - Digital x-rays with the highest quality imaging to help us evaluate your pets condition.
Ultrasound - Our ultrasound is a non-invasive way to let the veterinarian look within your pet to diagnose their condition.
Dental X-rays - We recommend full mouth dental x-rays for all pets having dental procedures. This procedure allows us to detect disease that is hidden below the gum line.
Surgical Procedures
We offer elective and non elective surgeries. These include but are not limited to spays, neuters, dentals, lumpectomies (removal of lumps), emergency surgeries, and more.
Dental Procedures
Oral care and prophylactic dental cleanings are an important part of maintaining your pets health. Dental disease can affect other organ systems including the kidneys and heart. We also offer a full mouth dental x-rays of your pets teeth to detect disease that can be hidden below the gum line.
The photo below show the x-ray taken of a tooth that appeared normal above the gum line. Once X-rays were taken, the tooth was extracted due to disease at the root. Without x-rays, this tooth could have caused problems a few months later and could potentially have caused the pet to have another sedation for the extraction. The second photo is an actual image of the tooth that was removed.
Mobile Practice
We now offer limited mobile practice services. Please call the clinic to discuss.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses light to favor and accelerate the body's natural healing processes. The laser beam is moved over the skin so that the light energy (photons) penetrates the tissue where it interacts with various molecules that cause different biological effects. It produces a photochemical, photothermal and photomechanical effect.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week, during normal business hours, who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such a rodent bait poisoning, being hit by a car, and/or chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment, do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible, it is best to call prior coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but still feel your pet needs to be seen soon. Our veterinarians will work to their ability, to work you and your pet in, in between scheduled appointments .
